Virtualisation is a method by which you can create a virtual instance of a computer on another computer. It’s software that runs within software, and it has many advantages.

Firstly, it means you can potentially house multiple virtual servers on a single physical server, saving space, energy and cost.

You can also change the resources that each virtual server is allocated, so if one requires more memory, a simple software adjustment is all that’s required.

If the physical server fails, virtual servers can be moved to another physical server and simply started up again, significantly reducing downtime since no software needs reinstalling or configuring.

Virtualisation has led to the existence of Cloud Computing.

For all these reasons, virtualisation is something we may suggest for your business, but it depends on your requirements, environment and budget.
