There are a number of places who will buy your old tech gadgets for cash (or a discount off new kit). Be careful though. Many of these give you a headline price online, but then when you send your device in they revise their offer to a much-reduced price, citing some minor imperfection. We have used O2 Recycle on a number of occasions and find the prices offered to be fair and the service to be generally reliable.

Apple Trade-In
Applies to all Apple products (not cash but a trade-in discount off a new Apple purchase). Trade-in prices pretty low in my opinion.
John Lewis Trade-In
John Lewis use a third-party trade-in partner called Square1. You can trade-in your device for either cash or a John Lewis & Partners e-gift card (which is typically worth more).
Currys Trade-In
Trade-in your device for a discount off a new purchase. Sometimes they do amazing deals, such as offering £150 off a new iPad Air for trading in a very old iPad. So worth checking it out.
